Boot-cut Jeans

If you want to balance your curvy hips with a wider hemline while fitting the thighs and knees, then boot-cut denim will be your choice.  Boot-cut denim is typically tight around the upper thigh area and flared below the knee.  The wider hemline will balance the width seen in the hips and diminish the prominence of the hip width. If you want to bring attention to your curves then look for design details, such as pockets with contrast stitching, gems around pockets or distressed / stone blast details at this area.  If you’re looking for denims that will skim past your hips then look for jeans that are all one colour with no noticeable details around the hip area.

Flared Jeans

Flared jeans will balance out the volume of your hips, thighs, and rear.  Wear a top that emphasises your shoulders to  create width at both the top and bottom of your body and give the appearance of an hourglass figure. Flared jeans made of stretchier and darker fabrics (far left and far right) that reach down to the ground are more flattering as they elongate the legs and don’t have features that bring attention to wider points.

Skinny Jeans

Skinny jeans are perfect for women whose widest point lies at the hips and who want to highlight those gorgeous curves.  Skinnies are the denim style most likely to bring attention to your curves and make you look absolutely amazing.  Always make sure to choose a pair with a stretch to make room for your hips.

Straight legged jeans

Straight leg jeans skim over the hips and will not bring attention to your hips as much as skinny jeans as they provide a straight line falling from the hips to the feet.  Wearing heels with this style with heels will elongate the leg length which will balance the width at the hips creating a streamline, slim body.
